Cardiff Airportis an international airport serving Cardiff, and the rest of South, Mid and West Wales. Around 1.4 million passengers passed through the airport in 2010.
It is located in the village of Rhoose, Vale of Glamorgan, 19 km west of the city centre of Cardiff, the country's largest city and capital.
The airport is a base for Bmibaby, Manx2, Thomson Airways and Thomas Cook Airlines with Flybe being the largest carrier at Cardiff Airport, and the airport was home for many years to a number of flying clubs and small general aviation operators.
